Randstad is backing the Bid after being won over by the project’s ambition and social impact. Between now and the end of 2010 an array of political, economic and social actors will be doing their utmost alongside the Bid team to achieve this ambition.
Such excellence fits in perfectly with Randstad’s vision. Randstad is all about people and work and giving people a helping hand; people who want to maximise their own potential, at any level and time, and in whatever way they choose. This is true not only in the world of employment, but also applies very much to the world of sports.
In the years ahead Belgium and the Netherlands will not only excel in sport, they will also shine courtesy of their preparations for this global event and its economic, infrastructural, social and cultural aspects.
Randstad is an old hand in the world of sport. Moreover, sport is the channel it is using to unearth socially relevant partnerships, because socially responsible business mirrors our core activity: bringing together people and work.
Through cooperation with NOC*NSF in the Netherlands – where professional sportspeople are coached and also helped towards their career outside sport – and in Belgium – through projects such as Foot Pass and Purple Talents in Belgian football – Randstad has spent years helping the development of sports from the very top down to grass-roots level.
