Coaches

Dutch football coaches have conquered the world. They work in all parts of the world and on all continents. According to the Dutch Association of Professional Football Coaches (CBV), more than a hundred Dutch coaches are currently active abroad. But Belgian coaches are in demand as well, and enjoyed particular success in the 1970s and 80s. As such they play an important role in the global development of football.

No less than four Dutch national coaches brought teams to the most recent edition of the World Cup in Germany (2006): Marco van Basten led the Dutch national squad, Leo Beenhakker helped Trinidad & Tobago give a surprising performance, Dick Advocaat had South Korea under his wing and Guus Hiddink did great things with Australia.
Belgian coaches.
Belgian coaches are currently a little less inclined to travel the world. However, they booked some major successes in the 1970s and 80s.
 
The Amsterdam ArenA has major plans to increase its capacity.
